3. Use Protective Eyewear

As obvious as this tip sounds, it is shocking how often people ignore it. Protective eyewear, like sunglasses, for instance, is more than just a fashion accessory. Using the tips of your index and middle fingers, gently move your hand in small circles, starting from the eyebrows and ending at your lower eyelid. An eye massage can last for just 30 seconds.

Also, it is important to rest your eyes occasionally. Following the 20–20–20 rule (looking at an object 20 feet away for 20 seconds every 20 minutes) may help.

10. Cucumbers

Cucumbers contain potent antioxidants and several anti-inflammatory properties, says Tom Chang MD. You can use cucumbers to clear puffiness around the eyes. Dr. Chang advises that two cucumber slices cut thin and placed above the eyelids may help clear the eyes and refresh the skin around the eyes, making the eyes brighter.
